This example of is just over 59cms in the scabbard.
Out of the scabbard it is just over 56cms long with a blade length of 42cms long.
The grip is rose wood with an age crack to one side. It is pieced through the tang for a tassel to be attached. The pommel and guard are decorated with longevity and bat motifs.
The blade is a well forged type with a clear medial ridge running through to the tip.
The scabbard is a timber core with turtle shell veneer. It retains all 5 decorative brass fittings and shows small age losses to the timber and 1 brass fitting.
