A rare example of an Iklwa.

This status fighting spear measures just under 118cms long overall.
The spearhead is 35cms long with the blade being 30cms.
The top of the timber shaft is bound with plaited wire approx 9cms long.
The shaft shows a nice warm patina and gradually widens through to the carved and faceted bulbous base.
There are stable age splits to the base of the shaft as seen in the photos provided.

A very good example of a rare spear type.
