A good Rhino hilted sabre
Moroccan Saif

A good Rhino hilted sabre Moroccan Saif www.swordsantiqueweapons.com

A Moroccan Sa-if with Rhino grip and a fine blade.

This African sword is from the 19th century with earlier trade blade.
Overall is it 87cms long with a blade length of 72cms.
The blade appears to be 18th century and is clearly marked to both sides with fine guild or trademarks.
The knuckle guard and lobed quillons still retain intact and are coated in the same metal preservative that the blade is.
The hilt is large and made of Rhino horn which remains in very good condition.

Overall a very good Rhino hilted example of a Moroccan Saif
