Early trade blade

A rare Bedouin sabre Early trade blade www.swordsantiqueweapons.com

A rare and seldom seen 19th century Bedouin sabre, the traditional sword of the Bedouin tribes that live in the Sinai Peninsula, in Israel and in Jordan.

The Bedouin sword smiths used every available blade for their swords and this is no exception. The blade appears to be a locally forged, early 19th century trade blade, well marked and well worn from age and use.
The overall length is 91cms and the blade length is 79cms.
The horn grips are riveted to the swords tang with seven rivets.

A seldom seen sword with age wear, bumps and bruises.
