A very fine and rare Indian Mutiny period all steel kukri.

This rare example measures 46cms long in the sheath.
Out of the sheath it is 45cms long with a blade length of 34cms.
The hilt is very finely and deeply chiseled steel. The designs seen within the hilt are scrolling vines like tendrils with outer leaf like borders that resemble a string of swans.
The blade is good Indian watered steel. It has a thick spine and short double fullers under the spine. There are differing spiritual markings to each side, both being very deeply struck.
The scabbard has stood the test of time very well and only has minor loss shown in the images. The Karda is missing.

An exceptional early fighting kukri, being very well balanced and comfortable.
