A good Fighting knife Spanish Navaja Seville 19th century www.swordsantiqueweapons.com

A good example of a large Spanish Navaja Fighting knife.

This Navaja measures 41cms long when open, 22cms long when folded.
The knife has a horn grip that is decorated with inlayed brass strips that have decorated surfaces and four inlayed brass circles to both sides. Each end is also capped in decorated brass panels.
The back spring is very strong and is file shaped and incised.
The blade is of a long leaf type, decorated to the left side with floral designs within a bordered panel and to the right is a Sevilla defense motto within a bordered panel.

A lethal 19th century fighting knife branded under the guise of defense.
