A very large, fine and heavy Burmese sword.

This sword measures 84cms long and is without its scabbard.
the hilt is bronze and ray skin over a timber core.
The blade is a thick and exceptional fighting type of Nihinto quality. It is 63.5cms long and 12mm thick at the hilt. The spine is flat for the first 18cms and then tapers along beveled edges through to the tip. The blade broadens from 25mm to 35mm at the belly.
Very fine and complete scrolling silver tendrils roll through the entire length of the blades sides as well as having the entire spine also decorated in silver.

A fine example of a rare and quality fighting sword akin to a Katana, made for a wealthy individual.
