A good WWI period Kukri.

This Kukri measures 48cms long in its sheath. Out it is 47cms long.
The hilt is timber that is decorated with applied brass panels in a flower like style.
The rare blade type is sandwiched between the steel bolsters.
The surfaces of the blade are finished in a polished acid etched manner, similar to that seen on English regulation swords and dirks.
The imagery is of native script not yet translated, a large fish and floral motifs to the tip.
It is hollow forged and carries a very good keen cutting edge and a re-curved tip.
The sheath is a simple black leather over timber type with the tip of the sheath displaying tooled motifs.

A good and seldom seen type of Kukri.
