A good wootz bladed Khanjar with a very rare silver hilt fitting.

This dagger measures 25cms long in its sheath. Out it is just under 34cms long with a blade length of 23cms.
The hilt of this Khanjar is carved from a single piece of Walrus ivory. To the blade end is a rare decorative repousse silver fitting showing two figures kneeling to each side.
The sheath is a green tooled leather over timber with a later steel tip. The leather has loss to the reverse likely from years of wear within its sash.
The blade is of a fine wootz steel. It has a thick medial ridge running through to the tip and a very old tang repair seen to the base.

An interesting old Khanjar with a fine wootz blade and interesting and rare silverwork.
