A very fine Burmese Dah.

In its scabbard this sword measures 83.5cms long. Out it is 82cms long with a blade length of 62.5cms long.
The Dah's hilt is a solid wood core dressed in silver ends and a very finely selected rough ray skin grip that is secured with native resins and approx 100 small brass tacks.
The blade is of the typically high quality type seen in Burmese swords and is decorated in the desirable high quality silver overlays. This particular blade pictures 6 Chinthe amongst flowing vine like foliage to each side and a silver decorated spine throughout its entire length.
The scabbard is timber halves bound with a very fine resin covered rattan, of which only 6 sections remain in place.

A very fine and capable status fighting sword.
