A beautiful fighting Sabre from the North Western Frontiers of India.
This Sabre measures in a straight line 74cms and carries a 63cms blade.
The blade displays a stunning pattern welded surface, is thick to the spine and tapers to a sharpened backedge of 20cms. The blade has a clear and deeply struck Indian armoury stamp to the forte and lovely Native made but European inspired quality eyelash guild marks further up the blade.
The hilt has a pierced langet and a large disk pommel that has some movement to it.
A nice an unusual late 18th century fighting sword with a very well marked and patterend blade.
