A high quality MKII type kukri with a very rare well marked sheath.
Overall in the sheath, this piece measures 49cms long, out it is 44cms with a blade just over 33cms.
The Kukri has a full tang construction with an iron butt plate that is double peened. Timber grip slabs with large iron rivets with brass surrounds and a steel bolster.
The blade balances upright on its edge but leans to one side.
The sheath is a very rare type seldom seen. It is marked The Ca 1926, being made at Cawnpore in 1926, it also carries the C, broad arrow followed by 10 underneath the Cawnpore and date stamp. The sheath carries an iron end cap and it is outstanding condition.
The blade is unmarked indicating either a private purchase or that it missed the inspection stamping process.
In original uncleaned condition this rare example remains in very good condition, a good rare Kukri that would grade up with a light polish and oil.
