A nice fine ivory hilted Kothimora Kukri.
The example is just under 38cms in the sheath, 36cms out with a blade just under 27cms.
The Kukri is a regimental marked Kukri from the 7th Gurkha Rifles, being the 7th Duke of Edinburgh's Own Gurkha Rifles. Most likely a presentation piece of the day.
The sheath is nicely dressed in repousse silver fittings of various forms seen in the images. The 7th Gurkha Rifles badge is found in the throat fitting surrounded by a wreath and a Tigers head.
The ivory hilt remains in very healthy condition with only one very small loss.
The blade is a well formed and well made example. There is brass inlay and line decoration to the top egde of the blade. Both the Karda and Chakmak are ivory hilted and remain with this piece.
A nice regimental presentation Kukri.
