African arrows very nice unusual variety www.swordsantiqueweapons.com

A very nice and unusual array of African arrows.
This grouping of arrows covers the many types used for various applications including hunting, fighting, bird knockdown and others.
Each arrow is constructed of a thin cane or reed shaft. The rear are mostly notched and bound to prevent splitting. Many still retain the original flights although many are also missing.
Each arrow head is bound to the shaft showing cane, hide and thin copper sheeting as methods of securing.
Length ranges from mostly around 80cms with two in excess of 90cms.
A very nice and well collected group of African arrows with a variety not often seen.
