A fine fighting sword, Indonesia, Java?

Sheathed this sword is 62cms long. unsheathed it is just over 58cms with a blade length of 45cms.
The hilt and scabbard collar are shaped horn with the hilt having carved finger recesses.
The scabbard is timber with a horn end and white metal strapping.
The blade is a heavy forged type with fine distal taper, a deep clipped point and a deep fuller to both sides just below the spine. The overall shape is loosely based on that of the Dutch Hembrug Klewang Naval cutlass M1898 but with without the upward cure seen on the Dutch sword.

A good robust fighting sword in good condition throughout.
