A very rare central Asian Karud with stone grip slabs.
This fine and rare Central Asian dagger measures just under 34cms and carries a blade just under 24cms.
The grip of this dagger is cut and fitted in the style of those found in Bukhara.
There are five thin iron pins securing the dark green jade grip slabs to the full tang. They are laid out in the 2/1/2 fashion seen in the Bukhara regions with the rear two pins being covered with inlayed pieces of Mother of Pearl.
The blade is a narrow T-spine type showing evidence of pattern welding to the surfaces and has a broad brass upper grip strap.
Complete with its original sheath that has a small loss to the tip.
