A very good Indian Khanjar in Arabian Jambiya style.

This Indian dagger is 28cms tall in the sheath, just under 27cms tall out and blade length just under 16cms long.
The blade is of typical Arabian Jambiya form. it is over 4cms wide at the hilt and tapers on a curve towards the tip. There is a very pronounced Medial ridge to both sides.
The hilt and fittings are of a very detailed floral repousse metalwork, being of a coppery coloured bronze that shows gilt application to most of the low laying decoration.

A very fine Indian Khanjar of a form and detail seldom seen, 19th century, Bhuj, Western India.
