A very fine and seldom seen Dua Lalan, Sulawesi.

This example measures just under 77cms sheathed. Out it is just under 71cms and carries a 51cm blade.
The horn hilt is a very fine type that is both pierced and inlayed. The grip retains portions of the woven rattan bindings.
The spine of the blade has a raised medial ridge running the entire length. It shows pamor like surfaces and is hollow forged through to the gently upswept tip.
The sheath is rattan bound timber which has a flared throat. The base is horn.

A very fine example of a sword used for both combat and sacrifice.
