A nice old sabre from the Boxer uprising
A long broad heavy blade constructed from two shorter Qing military sabre forge welded together to create a longer weapon.
A most unusual study piece
Complete with a scabbard with iron fittings, ray skin covered and in very good order. Wrap to the hilt has not been present for a very long time as the hilt timber has a nice patina.
Iron cup guard is very loose.
