Rare T’boli sword.
This T'boli sword is most likely a recycled Moro kris blade looking at the slightly curved profile.
T'boli sword smiths often recycled old swords from other tribes and any other metal objects they could source.
Overall this piece measures 65cms in the scabbard and 63cms out.
The very fine laminated blade is of very high quality with laminations clearly visible. The blade is 51cms long.
The brass hilt is cast in one piece and is covered in geometric designs as seen on T'boli weapons.
The wooden scabbard is rectangular and wrapped in T’boli cloth, it has a rope waist cord with a lead button is wound around the throat of the scabbard
T’boli blades are reputed to the best in the Philippines.
