A fine original Yanyuedao halberd or pole arm head.

This 19th century halberd head known correctly as a Yanyuedao measures 79cms long including the tang.
The blade length is 51cms long and is just under 5.5cms across at the base and 7.5cms at the widest point.
It shows good distal taper to the cutting edge and to the tip along the spine.
There is a 19cms long curved back edge that has a small hole at the back of the yelman, usually used for suspending a small tassel.

A very good fighting example that would grade up very well to reveal a fine pattern welded blade surface and for the martial practitioner, a fine fighting blade that could be remounted if desired.
