A good seldom seen Yunnan Dah, complete with scabbard.

This example measures 85cms long in its scabbard, 81.5cms ouy, with a blade length of 51cms.
This heavy fighting sword is extremely well balanced with a substantial feel in the hand.
Its hilt fittings and dress are cast from a pewter like metal and do suffer some age dents and loss but are all very solid in hand.
The mid grip retains a fine rattan braid.
The Timber scabbard is bound with pieced fittings with designs being reminiscent of their close neighbours in Vietnam.

A good and well priced fighting sword from the Yunnan regions of Southern China/Northern Vietnam.
