A large and heavy stone headed club from the New Britain regions of Papua New Guinea.

The large example measures 123cms long.
The shaft is 5cms wide at the top and tapers to the base. The base shows a flared tip which is approx 17cms long.
The dark green stone head is 8cms wide and 6cms tall.
The original vegetable gum that secured the stone head in place is no longer present and the stone head is now secured in place by a thick plaited rattan ring.
