A good rare Shan, Tai Shan fighting sword, Dha Dahb.

In its scabbard this sword measures 87.7cms long. Out it is just under 85cms long with a blade length of 56cms.
The rattan bound hilt remains in exceptional condition for its age considering the hard life these old fighters often had. The pommel is a cast bronze type, fixed with an iron pin and washer, an aspect rarely seen but known of. The extra weight, although slight aids the user in faster use of the sword.
The blade has been left in an uncleaned condition but is sound and without pitting. It tapers quickly at the forte and broadens through the belly and upswept tip.
The scabbard is also rattan bound and retains its original suspension baldric.

A quality fighting sword that would grade up very well if desired.
