A magnificent example of an Exhibition quality Seville Navaja, dated 1892.
Overall this massive piece measures 95cms open and 52cms closed.
The green coloured horn is decoratively inlaid with brass panels that remain in excellent condition, decorative brass bolsters at the 18 tooth ratchet pivot point, nicely shaped back spring.
Very tight with a loud strong ratchet.
The forged blade to one side shows floral engravings.
To the other side of the blade it appears to read
"A el que esta vibora le pica no en
cuen _____ ______ remedio en la botiica
Sevilla 1892"
