A fine and rare pair of matched swords from Thailand.

These swords each measure 86.5cms long with blade lengths of 57cms.
The hilts are repousse samrit metal types decorated in traditional floral and Deity motifs with the pommels being traditional bulbous ends.
The golden Samrit alloy hilts remain in excellent condition throughout and retain their original golden hue.
The blades are 4cms wide at the base and up to 6cms wide through the belly.
The spines are thin but the blades are stiff, well tempered types with minimum flex. The swords have distal taper through to the cutting edge and slightly through to the upswept tips.

A rare and well balanced pair of sword that display high end samrit hilts and rare flamboyant blade types of an early form and being a status sword, likely precession swords for Nobility from the Laos areas under Thai rule.
