A good complete example of a dagger from Albacete Spain.

In its sheath, this dagger or "Daga" measures 28cms long in its sheath. Out it is 24cms long and has a blade length of 15cms.
The hilt is of classic Albacete style with pierced brass end caps and a bulbous mid grip of carved bone with decorative brass inserted of the type often seen within Navaja handles. Its guard is a simple and very sturdy iron type.
The blade is a double edged type with a raised medial ridge through to the tip. There are feint floral motifs to the blades surfaces.
The sheath, an aspect so often missing from the dagger type is complete and without loss or damage. It retains its brass ends that are simply engraved and all of the original but faded velour sheath covering is present.

A good complete Spanish Daga.
