A nice complete example of the rare Langgai Tinggang with a stunning blade.
Just under 86cms in the timber sheath, 77cms out with a deeply swept blade of 62cms.
The antler hilt retains its hair and grip bindings.
The carvings are quite well executed with minimal losses to the side worn closest to the body.
The scabbard is in very good condition with a small loss to the throat region and losses of rattan bindings to 4 places.
An original textile suspension also remains in place.
The fine blade is free from nicks or damage.
There are deep single fullers to each side with smaller grooves surronding these fullers.
The spine is inlayed with brass at 10mm intervals from the hilt through to 12cms from the tip.
A very fine and rare example.
