A nice pair of Chinese fighting swords, Hudiedao.
These old swords 59cms overall with a blade length of 47cms. The blades are 15mm thick at the base with a slight medial ridge along the spine and good distal taper to the tip and cutting edges.
The bronze guards and quillons show a nice varient in styling and the grip slabs are carved in a most unusual pattern being that of a Dragon. There also appears to be a Phoenix on one grip. One grip has slight movement and the blade surfaces are brown with rust and untouched.
A nice and unusual pair of fighting irons that would grade up very well with a professional polish.
