A fine Zulu throwing Spear.

Just under 136cms long with a 41cms iron spear head.
The shaft is a very well shaped piece of light coloured timber with a flared base and a carved butt.
The spear head is secured in place by very fine plaited wicker work that shows a very warm old patina.
The spear is perfectly balanced at this point.
An age crack is seen to one side of the shaft. The split does not detract from the presence of the spear or the strength of the shaft.

A very good old Zulu Isijula.
