A very old, heavy and unusually marked Sosun Pattah.

The overall length of this example is 71cms. The blade length is 60cms.
The blade, although no thicker than a typical sword, it is very heavy for its size. It is 3cms wide at the forte and widens to 4cms through the belly. The tip is recurved and the back edge tapers to an edge but not sharpened.
To each side of the blade are seen stylised warriors of differing appearances with one having three characters above him, possibly Sanskrit.
The hilt is rather squat in profile with very large button like qillon ends.

A formidable and unusual fighting sword.
