A good 18th cent Syrian Shamshir for restoration.

This sabre measures 86cms from tip to tip.
The blade measures 75cms from the centre of the guard to the tip of the blade. It is over 3cms at the forte.
The uncleaned blade shows a good consistent watered steel patterning throughout and remains in very good condition throughout.
The iron guard is loose, the timber grips are solid.

A good restoration project with a fine blade.
