A good and unusual Ethiopian sword.

This straight bladed Ethiopian garude measures 83cms long overall and carries an unusual blade that is 73cms long and 3.5cms wide.
The blade is rather crude by design but shows a very finely engraved symbol to both sides of the forte.
The hilt is Rhino horn carved to an hour glass shape. The pommel is a decorated silver dome through which the tang is secured.

A good and unusual African sword with a desirable hilt material.
